About the position

The Sr. Program Manager at CDW is responsible for the development, delivery, and management of strategic solutions and programs across CDW-G business segments. This role involves independently managing high-complexity projects, ensuring successful outcomes from inception to installation, and working closely with various stakeholders. The Sr. Program Manager leads teams, drives results, and builds strong relationships with clients, while also being accountable for project profitability and compliance with corporate policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, delivery, and management of strategic solutions and programs.
  • Independently manage high-complexity projects from inception to installation.
  • Provide guidance to Program Managers or Project Managers on melding customer methodology with CDW methodology.
  • Track multiple budgets and summarize for executive stakeholders, addressing financial warnings as necessary.
  • Validate initial program/project scope and estimates, influencing program recommendations at the executive level.
  • Identify and interpret risks from dependent projects and mitigate them accordingly.
  • Conduct resource planning and optimize billable schedules, addressing resource constraints.
  • Establish and own program communication plans for all stakeholders and work streams.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant corporate and government policies.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and accountability to project team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10 or more years of experience in delivering quality Infrastructure Project Management.
  • Five or more years of experience in leading significant technology projects across all solution areas in support of government programs.
  • PMP or PgMP certification required.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance strongly preferred.
  • Significant success leading projects with enterprise or strategic customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to take accountability for projects and their results.
  • Working knowledge of one or more formal project management methodologies and proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project/Office.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • ITIL V3 certification preferred.
  • Experience in managing a diverse set of contract types including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Material (T&M), Cost Plus (CP), and As a Service.
  • Familiarity with Government contracts and programs.
  • Familiarity with FISMA and FEDRAMP.
  • Strong grasp of business and technical acumen related to Federal initiatives.
