About the position

As a Program Manager II at SNC, you will play a crucial role in supporting business objectives by managing total Program Integration for multiple complex projects. This position involves overseeing customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning, ensuring that program performance objectives are met. You will manage programs typically valued at $20M or greater, requiring high customer interaction and addressing significant cost and schedule risks. Your responsibilities will include supervising program staff, managing proposal tasks, conducting routine meetings, and ensuring effective risk management throughout the program lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage total Program Integration for multiple complex projects and systems.
  • Oversee customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
  • Supervise program and project staff, ensuring effective team performance.
  • Conduct routine meetings and interface with project/program stakeholders.
  • Develop proposals and coordinate audits as needed.
  • Identify, track, and resolve program issues and problems.
  • Manage program risk by identifying, mitigating, and tracking risks.
  • Participate in business resource planning and tracking in coordination with corporate entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management.
  • Typically 3+ years leading medium scale project scope spanning 1-2 years with cross-functional teams.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification or advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience with evaluation of requests for proposals and managing complex projects.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to make fiscally sound decisions.
  • Proficient leadership abilities including change management and team development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS).
  • Working knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Experience with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and agile development models.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management.
