About the position

The Delivery Manager in Logistics is responsible for overseeing the delivery operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods from origin to destination while maintaining high customer satisfaction and compliance with safety standards. This role requires strategic planning, team leadership, and the ability to optimize processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize delivery routes, schedules, and resources to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
  • Oversee the entire delivery process, ensuring timely and safe arrivals.
  • Utilize technology and logistics systems to track shipments in real time and proactively address any issues.
  • Manage and motivate delivery personnel, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and performance.
  • Maintain transparent communication with customers, providing updates and resolving concerns.
  • Address and resolve delivery-related issues or customer complaints promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and exceeded.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures within delivery operations to increase profitability.
  • Continuously analyze and enhance delivery processes to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Adopt and implement new technologies to improve tracking, streamline operations, and boost productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant transportation, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures to protect employees and the public.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels and order fulfillment.
  • Oversee third-party logistics providers and carrier relationships.
  • Generate and analyze performance reports to identify areas for improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing logistics or delivery operations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on team management and motivation.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with logistics systems and tracking technology.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
