About the position

The Program Manager III role at BCforward is a remote position focused on leading community management activities and fostering a positive culture within the developer community. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to develop cross-functional relationships to achieve project goals. The role is contract-based with an expected duration of 9 months, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day community management activities and events, including hosting educational programming and providing community updates/reporting.
• Coordinate projects and event logistics, and follow up on action items from community members.
• Foster a positive and inclusive community culture.
• Create playbooks for successfully executed projects and refine project management processes and standards.
• Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal partners and external vendors.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with engaging a global developer community both online and offline.
• 4+ years experience in product strategy, developer advocacy, or equivalent work experience in a product organization.
• Proven communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working cross-functionally, both internally and externally.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Game Development, or equivalent degree/experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in game development, developer advocacy, developer relations, product evangelism, or technical product community building.
• Experience with developing and driving large scale programs or products in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues.
