About the position

The Program Manager for Immigration at The GEO Group is responsible for overseeing the operational and financial aspects of the Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP) office. This role involves ensuring compliance with contractual obligations while managing a team and maintaining effective communication with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and community organizations. The position requires a strong focus on case management, staff supervision, and program development to achieve operational and financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct all activities in the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and supervision of ISAP programs, services, and employees.
  • Ensure that programs function in a manner that satisfies contractual obligations.
  • Develop timely and accurate reports on the status of program operations.
  • Serve as the local point of contact with DHS/ICE, maintaining frequent and productive liaison.
  • Conduct regular meetings with DHS/ICE to assess program performance and resolve issues.
  • Maintain routine communications with staff to address service plans and daily schedules.
  • Establish and maintain communication with community-based organizations to ensure support for ISAP.
  • Administer the Security Plan for the office, including daily operations and emergencies.
  • Perform monthly audits to evaluate program operations for compliance with the Quality Control Plan.
  • Manage program participant violations in conjunction with Intensive Supervision Case Specialist.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or related field required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of case management experience in an Alternatives to Detention immigration program is required.
  • Two (2) years supervisory experience in a similar position is preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with multi-cultural clients.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • United States citizenship required.
  • Valid State Driver's License and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees, community contacts, government officials, and clients.
  • Ability to interpret and articulate rules, orders, instructions, and materials.
