About the position

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing small to medium scope programs or sections of larger programs within the medical device industry. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for new product development and commercialization, ensuring that programs meet their milestones and deliverables while complying with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall programs of small to medium scope or a subsection of a large-scale program.
  • Develop detailed plans aligned with strategic objectives, including master schedules, budgets, and key program tasks.
  • Provide guidance and direction to core teams to define clear goals and evaluate progress.
  • Identify and assist in clearing barriers to effective progress.
  • Resolve program resource issues and facilitate reallocation of activities to ensure schedules are achieved.
  • Conduct financial evaluations of programs.
  • Facilitate core team meetings and track progress against the project plan.
  • Maintain compliance with US FDA regulations and company policies.
  • Foster positive communication and collaboration with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in the medical device industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects and programs.
  • Ability to synthesize complex business and technical aspects of development programs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to set goals and provide constructive feedback.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to senior management.
  • Experience with implantable and connected systems.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Agile and scaled agile experience.
  • Experience with software and connected systems.
