About the position

The Program Manager for Innovation & Online Degree Pathways at Central Michigan University is responsible for developing and managing structures, timelines, and systems to implement an Innovation Investment Award grant. This role focuses on increasing adult learner degree pathways and completion through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The Program Manager will oversee proposals for online programs and create sustainable learning experiences that align with professional development and workforce initiatives, supporting Michigan's sixty by 30 initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with principal investigators in the development and implementation of the initiatives outlined in the Innovation Investment Award Grant (IIA).
  • Creates a program management plan identifying and covering scope, interdependencies, schedule, work sequence, and required resources.
  • Communicates program status, milestones, issues, and change requests effectively across stakeholders.
  • Provides consolidated reporting and analysis on schedule, budget, scope, and performance.
  • Manages multiple related projects to achieve strategic objectives on time and within the parameters of the awarded project.
  • Collaborates with key constituents in the development and enhancement of relationships that streamline/improve the student experience and build community college partnerships.
  • Works in partnership with the financial aid office to support community college consortium agreements.
  • Serves as the liaison between Innovation & Online and partner institutions to ensure key stakeholders are involved with decision-making and remain informed as initiatives develop.
  • Orchestrates the development and implementation of an inclusive infrastructure for academic program navigation and progression, referral monitoring, and intervention for students.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of articulation agreements and curricular guides between CMU and other partner universities.
  • Coordinates the development of in-demand learning experiences to increase adult degree and credential attainment that align with market demands.
  • Assists in the identification of marketing campaigns to recruit prospective students and promote new initiatives and partnerships.
  • Promotes awareness of educational opportunities that reduce barriers to entry and allow for the creation of multiple career-aligned pathways to ensure credentials meet the educational and career goals of adult learners.
  • Collaborates with administrators, faculty, students, and staff across the University to identify innovative opportunities through an outside-in strategy that focuses first on student and market needs.
  • Provides a mechanism and procedure for soliciting and evaluating on-line opportunities that includes market research, ROI analysis, cost analysis, and content.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience managing a project or portfolio, including those that are multi-year and cross-collaborative.
  • Demonstrated ability and comfort leading a team through evolving priorities and goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal networking skills with proven ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
  • Proven ability to support and advance strategic initiatives of an organization through development and implementation of goals and objectives.
  • Proven ability to apply measurable outcomes to project goals and timelines in a collaborative way.
  • Ability to effectively compile data and present project reports/presentations to internal and external constituents.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to serve as a positive representative of the University.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
