About the position

The Program Manager (PM) role at Collins Aerospace is responsible for managing the successful delivery of an innovative data management platform for airlines and OEMs. This position involves cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and program performance. The PM will oversee the program life cycle, including pursuit, order capture, implementation, and support phases, while balancing priorities in a matrixed environment. The role requires both technical acumen and leadership to navigate challenges and drive the delivery of mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage across matrix organizations to execute program deliverables while meeting scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Work closely with Sales and Technical Sales teams on new customer pursuits, bids and proposals, contract negotiations, financial business case development and program requirements to drive contract execution.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Technical Support teams to meet contractual deliverables ensuring positive customer experience and program P&L commitments are fulfilled.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities, developing contingency plans with stakeholders.
  • Implement change management best practices to monitor and control program deliverables.
  • Review Voice of the Customer (VoC) with internal stakeholders to ensure a consistent and strong customer message is embedded in product development and program planning & execution processes.
  • Lead internal and external Program Management Reviews to status stakeholders on program performance, issues, and mitigation actions.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience, or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Experience with managing a P&L, driving value stream strategy for business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience within the aviation industry such as OEMs, airlines, suppliers, & aviation community of interest.
