About the position

The Program Manager, IT Agile RTE - Infrastructure & Ops is responsible for managing complex IT programs using waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies. This role involves financial management, risk management, stakeholder communication, and ensuring the successful execution of programs with budgets of $20M or less. The position plays a crucial role in the Agile transformation by coaching teams and leaders in Agile processes and mindsets, while also leading a small team of project managers and scrum masters.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver complex Agile and Waterfall programs of $20M or less while managing risks and issues.
• Partner with finance, project teams, and value stream owners to ensure alignment with portfolio financials.
• Ensure compliance with project delivery methods, tools, framework, and IT controls.
• Develop plans for resource allocation, timeline, and budget to create an overall project plan.
• Collaborate with delivery teams and Project Managers to map and plan for dependencies.
• Outline and define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for team members through project charters.
• Develop blueprints and roadmaps to manage risks and uncertainties associated with new solutions.
• Synthesize and implement technological projects customized to meet organizational needs.
• Report progress, risk mitigation, and updates to stakeholders regarding resource, timeline, and budget plans.
• Run periodic meetings to monitor and track project execution and ensure adherence to standard procedures.
• Create and drive project dashboards reflecting project status to facilitate communication with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other program managers to balance interdependencies between projects.
• Accountable for managing cross-project related tasks needed to deliver the program.
• Collaborate with the solution team to ensure adherence to release management practices.
• Assist project managers in receiving Go/No-Go Signoff and CAB/TAB approvals.
• Responsible for program level governance and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Accountable for risk management and resolution of issues.
• Lead waterfall programs and assist with Agile transformation.
• Facilitate SAFe Lean-Agile processes and execution of a train.
• Facilitate ART events and assist teams in delivering value.
• Drive continuous improvement and collaboration among ARTs.
• Coach, guide, and mentor project managers and scrum masters.
• Support Scrum of Scrums coordination to gain visibility into team progress and impediments.
• Assist Product Management Teams and Agile Teams in prioritization and sizing decisions.
• Manage dependencies with other ARTs and collaborate with other RTEs/Program Managers.
• Hold the Product Management team accountable for maintaining a healthy prioritized backlog.
• Responsible for Financial Management, Risk Management, and Dependency management for Agile Teams.
• Execute and contribute to process improvements and best practices across PMO.

Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science, Business or Technical field; equivalent trainings/certifications/experience equivalency will be considered.
• 7+ years practical experience in project/program management in waterfall and 5+ years of experience on Agile Projects as RTE.
• Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodology.
• Working knowledge of PPM and agile tools (Jira).
• Thorough understanding of enterprise software development lifecycle and ability to apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and team members.
• Financial acumen and ability to interpret key financial indicators.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA or advanced degree in a relevant business-related field.
• Agile / SAFe certification.
• Proficiency in managing agile, SAFe, scrum teams (scrum of scrums), lean teams.
