About the position

The Program Manager (IT) role within the Global Regulatory Affairs Office (GRAO) is focused on overseeing the management of a team of program and project managers to support large-scale, enterprise-wide programs. This position is responsible for ensuring effective delivery of critical strategic capabilities and regulatory changes that impact multiple business units. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on operational risk and resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery through effective delegation, oversight, and stakeholder engagement across a portfolio of programs.
  • Provide high-level assessments of program progress, risks, and issues, facilitating rapid resolution with senior stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure clear understanding of expectations.
  • Maintain progress across a portfolio of work, continuously managing program risks, issues, and escalations as needed.
  • Liaise between cross-functional stakeholders to align around common objectives.
  • Continuously improve and optimize projects towards efficiency, productivity, and quality standards.
  • Review and maintain program objectives, risks, issues, and overall status within approved program structures.
  • Manage the portfolio with a forward-looking mindset, proactively anticipating potential issues and defining contingency plans.
  • Develop and hold accountable a team of program managers to manage dependencies and roadblocks.
  • Timely escalate and pursue resolution of roadblocks with an ownership mindset.
  • Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities for supported projects.
  • Engage, supervise, and coordinate third-party support, overseeing forecast and budget variance.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and agility to pivot to new or changing program priorities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of correspondence records, presentations, and reports.
  • Prioritize and handle multiple projects with accuracy.
  • Lead and motivate team members, providing development opportunities and feedback.

Requirements

  • A College or University degree with a deep understanding of project management and portfolio management tools, techniques, and methods.
  • Relevant industry knowledge in financial risk, non-financial risk, regulatory, and/or compliance.
  • Minimum of 5 years serving as a Portfolio or Program Manager or in a relevant role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, highly flexible, and adaptable to change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with enterprise risk management, financial or non-financial risk.
