About the position

The Program Manager IV, Strategy Execution - Hospital Operations is a senior individual contributor role responsible for managing strategic, enterprise-wide programs that drive business value for Kaiser Permanente. This position involves overseeing cross-regional and multi-disciplinary initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and providing strategic planning and execution support. The role requires monitoring program performance, identifying risks, and implementing change management strategies while collaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage strategic, enterprise-wide, cross-regional, and multi-disciplinary programs to drive business value.
  • Monitor the progress of initiatives and proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Provide design plans and support change management strategies during organizational changes.
  • Conduct external research to identify and implement market-leading practices.
  • Facilitate team collaboration to support business outcomes and complete work autonomously.
  • Develop and manage complex program plans including scope, schedule, and resource forecasts.
  • Monitor program financials and performance to ensure maximum long-term value.
  • Lead program team members and coordinate internal/external resources based on program demands.
  • Communicate tough issues to stakeholders and provide recommendations and reports to senior audiences.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to identify long-term value and define success.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years experience working with senior leadership on strategic program management.
  • Minimum one year experience in a leadership role, with or without direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five years experience in project management or related field, including two years in program management, OR eight years experience in project management or related field, including two years in program management.
  • Knowledge of Change Management, Negotiation, Applied Data Analysis, Financial Acumen, Conflict Resolution, and Project Management.
