The Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA) at Alafia Haven LLC is a pivotal role that reports directly to the CEO. This position is responsible for the overall supervision and administration of resident care, ensuring compliance with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Minimum State requirements for General Residential Operations (GRO) settings. The LCCA will oversee daily operations, implement programs and services, and ensure that staff adhere to established policies and procedures. A key aspect of this role is to promote a safe and nurturing environment for all residents, which is essential for their well-being and development. In this capacity, the LCCA will ensure that the operation complies with applicable rules, including Chapter 42 of the Human Resources Code and Chapter 745 of the licensing title. The administrator will directly supervise the Direct Care Staff, prepare work schedules, and approve time and attendance, including overtime for the staff. Monthly staff meetings will be facilitated to ensure effective communication and coordination among the entire Treatment Team. The LCCA will act as the primary liaison with all referring agencies, managing the intake, referral, and discharge processes for the operation. The role also requires immediate reporting of any suspected incidents of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children in care to the Child Abuse Hotline. The LCCA will facilitate both pre-service and in-service training for employees, oversee daily office management and maintenance, and review records for compliance. Ongoing supervision for all children placed will be a critical responsibility, along with approving all treatment plans and updates. The LCCA is expected to serve as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism, appropriate behavior, and effective communication to children, parents, staff, and others. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with the Foster Care and Adoption teams, as well as foster care parents and families, while upholding professional and ethical boundaries, is essential for success in this role.
