About the position

The Program Manager at Cognizant plays a crucial role in leading large-scale, complex programs within the Life Sciences industry. This position is responsible for overseeing program management activities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining strong client relationships. The Program Manager will establish governance, manage delivery objectives, and drive business value through effective communication and change management.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, executes, and oversees program governance including stakeholder management and communication ceremonies.
• Manages delivery estimation and planning across the Cognizant organization.
• Tracks and measures progress against established metrics and operational measures.
• Provides insights on improvements while ensuring adherence to operational best practices.
• Drives optimal business value through scope and change management.
• Collaborates with the Commercial/Account Team to identify business value opportunities for clients.
• Builds and maintains relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Leads team development focusing on career growth, diversity, and inclusion.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of the program management community.

Requirements

• 10-12 years in strategy, operations, process consulting, and project/program delivery.
• Project/Program training and certifications (PMI/SAFe 5.0/Prince II).
• Experience in delivering complex programs across multiple geographies.
• Strong senior stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in contract management and managing client stakeholders across IT and business.
• Adept at working with multicultural and multi-geo teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in delivering domain capability services or niche technology capabilities.
• Experience in leading structured deals, takeovers, or divestiture programs.
