About the position

The Program Manager for Logistics Services Development at United Airlines is responsible for coordinating, standardizing, and developing training programs for various logistics services organizations. This role focuses on improving training documentation, record keeping, efficiency, and standardization across the network. The Program Manager will collaborate with frontline and department management to identify training gaps and implement new strategies to enhance the overall training curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and standardize the logistics services training program.
  • Complete initiatives to improve training documentation and record keeping.
  • Partner with management to identify training gaps and propose new strategies.
  • Develop training standards for logistics services teams in compliance with regulations.
  • Implement training plans and supervise compliance among logistics services teams.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects related to training.
  • Establish relationships with local leadership to enhance training and usage of work instructions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Business management, supply chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience with training course development and delivery.
  • Strong insight and ability to partner across various teams.
  • Strong technical communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Project management certification.
  • Green or black belt certification.
  • Warehousing experience.
  • Airline experience.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Safety OSHA 15 - 30 hour certification.
  • Computer-based training development skills (e.g., Articulate).
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles, auditing, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint.
