About the position

The RTF Program Manager will primarily carry out building operations related activities to ensure that therapeutic and behavioral interventions and protocols, data collection, and observations are occurring across settings for individuals on the Autism spectrum supported in the RTF. This role will also provide supervision, training, and structure to the Autism Behavioral Support (ABS) Specialists in conjunction with the clinical team. The RTF Program Manager is responsible for adherence to standards, procedures, and schedules established by the Division. In this position, the Program Manager will ensure that the collection of data for Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VBMapp), and any other assessment tools deemed appropriate are completed to track client behaviors. The role involves developing and maintaining staff schedules, as well as maintaining clients' daily schedules and communication protocols such as picture schedules, the use of Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and sign language as individualized communication methods for each child. The Program Manager will also ensure the maintenance of daily progress notes and tracking of behavioral data for the use of the Clinician consistent with treatment goal objectives. Promoting successful pairing of staff with clients and/or clients with clients to ensure successful goal completion is a key responsibility. Collaboration with the Clinical Manager and other members of the treatment team is essential to ensure that the child's treatment plan is being carried out effectively. The Program Manager will participate in Inter-Agency Service Planning Meetings and complete all documentation in a timely and accurate manner as set forth by regulatory agency requirements. Additionally, the Program Manager will provide supervision of assigned staff in areas including recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, discipline, and termination. The role may also require providing backup to Autism Behavioral Support (ABS) staff when needed to stay within required ratios and meet the needs of the children. The Program Manager will participate in weekly supervision with the management team, perform CPR and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols, and undertake other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that collection of data for FBA, VBMapp, and other assessment tools are completed to track client behaviors.
  • Develops and maintains staff schedules and clients' daily schedules and communication protocols.
  • Ensures maintenance of daily progress notes and tracking of behavioral data for the use of the Clinician.
  • Promotes successful pairing of staff with clients to ensure successful goal completion.
  • Collaborates with the Clinical Manager and treatment team to ensure the child's treatment plan is effectively carried out.
  • Participates in Inter-Agency Service Planning Meetings regarding treatment plans and behavior strategies.
  • Completes all documentation in a timely and accurate manner as per regulatory agency requirements.
  • Schedules vehicles for maintenance and orders food and supplies for the program.
  • Provides supervision of assigned staff in recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Provides backup to ABS staff when needed to meet the needs of the children.
  • Participates in weekly supervision with the management team to improve work performance.
  • Performs CPR and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in counseling, psychology, social work, behavioral psychology, special education or other human service-related field.
  • Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) experience preferred.
  • Two years' experience working directly with special needs children/adolescents, preferably clients on the autism spectrum, in the mental health or education fields.
  • Experience with residential service preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection and implementation of behavioral protocols and treatment plans preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Successful completion of Safe Crisis Management/Intervention training, CPR/First Aid training, Behavior Management, Data Collection training and any other required trainings.
  • Excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) / Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred.
  • Current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record.
