About the position
The Program Manager at Trident Systems' Space Electronic Systems division is responsible for overseeing the cost, schedule, and customer interface of one or more technical programs, particularly those involving electronics design and manufacturing. This mid-level role requires strong program management skills, including financial management and customer relationship management, while also providing guidance to other program managers. The position is hybrid, requiring three days onsite and two days remote work.
Responsibilities
- Manage the cost, schedule, and customer interface of one or more programs.
- Support proposal efforts as needed.
- Create and maintain program schedules using MS Project.
- Manage financial aspects including budget baselines and forecasting future costs using MS Excel.
- Interface with customers to convey program status, risks, and issues.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and statements of work (SOW).
- Provide guidance to other program managers and improve program management processes.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, business, or related discipline or equivalent experience/education.
- 4 - 10 years of relevant program management experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required within 3 months of hire.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Solid financial management and planning skills for labor and materials.
- Understanding of commercial and government contracts, terms and conditions, and payment plans.
- Ability to manage risk and opportunities, including mitigation plans and financial impacts.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
