About the position

The NPD Program Manager in the BD Advanced Patient Monitoring PMO Team is responsible for leading New Product Development (NPD) teams through all stages of product development, clinical evaluations, operational readiness, and commercialization of Hemodynamic Monitoring products and accessories. This role involves managing program aspects to ensure timely commercialization while adhering to quality standards and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage one or more large scale to enterprise-wide projects within the program, ensuring adherence to BD APM's Quality Systems and Change Control Process.
  • Facilitate the creation and approval of business cases within the program and coordinate resource sharing and prioritization among projects.
  • Develop a detailed plan for the program and manage program changes accordingly.
  • Execute program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, etc.) and communicate program status to maintain accurate information for stakeholders.
  • Lead core team meetings and improve the quality and effectiveness of meetings and decision-making processes.
  • Serve as a project and program management subject matter expert, guiding and mentoring peers.
  • Build trust and rapport with project team members and stakeholders through honest and transparent conversations.
  • Create a culture of urgency and accountability to meet or exceed project goals.
  • Understand complex problems and drive the team to effective resolutions.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience managing New Product Development projects and/or programs of increasing complexity.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing projects in the medical device industry involving Software, Firmware, and Thermoplastic Hardware and Disposable components.
  • Proficient understanding of Medical Device Regulations and Product Development Process.
  • Proven expertise in leading within complex organizations requiring strong influence management skills.
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite and related project management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work cooperatively at all levels in a matrix environment to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Effective decision-making skills, with the ability to negotiate and balance decisions across functional departments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology and related project management software such as Jira and Microsoft DevOps.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead meetings with external representatives.
