About the position

The Program Manager for Leadership Effectiveness at Paylocity is responsible for designing and delivering programs that enhance the skills and capabilities of employees and leaders, preparing them for future leadership roles or improving their current performance. This role involves collaborating with business and HR leaders to assess talent development needs and creating consistent learning experiences across the organization. The Program Manager will oversee all aspects of program management, including analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of program effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop leadership development strategies aligned with company and business unit goals in partnership with HR leaders.
  • Design, develop, and deliver leadership effectiveness programs that support the leadership development strategy and overall talent goals.
  • Assist in planning and creating HR talent and organization development activities, including leadership development and employee engagement programs.
  • Research trends in leadership development, talent development, learning design, and learning technology.
  • Execute all program components, including analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Communicate program intent and objectives to key stakeholders, including business and HR leaders.
  • Plan and coordinate the logistics of department programs' delivery and implementation.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to assess leadership capabilities and inform program design.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify root causes of leadership-related issues and develop targeted programs to address them.
  • Propose program design and architecture to business and HR leaders, securing alignment on program goals and outcomes.
  • Plan and design measurement and evaluation methods to assess learning program effectiveness and impact.
  • Communicate the ROI of leadership development programs to key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management and director-level leaders, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Connect with business and HR leaders to discover talent and leadership effectiveness opportunities.
  • Partner with instructional designers to develop program components, including eLearning modules and workshops.
  • Partner with L&D leaders for delivery support and ensure program components meet goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Research and evaluate external vendors for learning content, creating RFPs and attending demos as necessary.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure content relevancy and application.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, or Organization Development.
  • 5+ years of Learning Design experience, with at least 3 years in designing and managing learning programs.
  • 3+ years of facilitation experience at the leadership and program level.
  • Experience with various learning design frameworks, including ADDIE, SAM, Rapid Design, and LXD.
  • Undergraduate degree in I/O Psychology, HR Development, Organizational Development, or a related field strongly preferred; graduate degree preferred.
  • Proactive and self-starting nature, able to execute tasks independently.
  • Comfortable starting projects without complete information.
  • Independent and self-sufficient, thriving under minimal guidance.
  • Preferably has prior experience in the functional area supported.
