About the position

The Program Manager at Texas A&M University will provide executive support to the Faculty Affairs' Director and Assistant Deans, overseeing the management and organization of various programs and budgets within the Faculty Affairs Office. This role is essential for planning and executing faculty-related initiatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among various stakeholders, and contributing to the overall mission of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct executive support to Faculty Affairs' Director and Assistant Deans.
  • Manage and oversee programs and respective budgets in the Faculty Affairs Office.
  • Plan, organize, and manage various faculty affairs programs, including awards programs and faculty development initiatives.
  • Develop and implement procedures for the administration of faculty affairs programs in collaboration with Associate Deans.
  • Oversee Faculty Affairs information updates on the college level intranet.
  • Assist with the development and production of materials for faculty affairs programs.
  • Work with the Director of Faculty Affairs on budgeting related to programming.
  • Assist with special projects for the Faculty Affairs Office under the Director's guidance.
  • Supervise and manage administrative staff and student workers in the Race and Ethnic Studies Institute.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of additional related experience working with faculty affairs and/or related programs.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
  • Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize objectives with discretion and independent judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups and maintain a respectful and team-oriented environment.

  • Experience with scheduling applications (Outlook, Doodle polls, etc.)
  • Experience using Qualtrics survey applications
  • Experience planning workshops and events
  • Experience preparing reports on program activities.
