About the position

The Program Manager (Partnership Development) at Rutgers University is responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation, and communication of program and statewide partnership strategies aimed at enhancing cancer health equity. This role involves strategic oversight of personnel, resources, and activities to ensure alignment with the goals of the Cancer Health Equity Center of Excellence (CHECoE) and community outreach initiatives. The position requires strong leadership and project management skills to effectively engage with diverse populations and stakeholders, ultimately contributing to the mission of reducing the burden of cancer in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement statewide partnership strategies for CHECoE and community outreach efforts.
  • Evaluate and improve the quality and impact of CHECoE and ScreenNJ initiatives.
  • Communicate and collaborate with partners to enhance and sustain CHECoE efforts.
  • Supervise and manage staff to support CHECoE and ScreenNJ activities.
  • Conduct strategic, tactical, and operational planning for Center initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in public health, health sciences, health care policy, or a related field required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse constituencies.
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in public health or related fields preferred.
  • Knowledge of performance in a unionized environment.
