About the position

The Program Manager is responsible for supporting and managing the day-to-day activities for new product launch projects at Sun Pharma. The role focuses on developing detailed cross-functional project plans to ensure successful commercialization and launch of new products. The Program Manager acts as the main point of contact between various stakeholders, including brand teams and sales leadership, while also improving processes that impact key business areas. This position requires proactive risk management and effective communication to ensure timely execution of launch activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, support, and align with Senior Program Leads on the overall launch planning process across all key stakeholders.
  • Develop a robust, risk-weighted scenario launch plan with alignment across cross-functional team leads and senior program leads.
  • Recommend improvements in operational and go-to-market processes.
  • Ensure timely execution of launch activities, critical path tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Follow up with teams to continuously update the plan and prioritize activities for successful project implementation.
  • Contribute to recurring and ad-hoc cross-functional meetings to ensure all launch critical tasks and timelines are on track.
  • Define, track, and report performance metrics to leadership teams.
  • Develop and maintain a robust project RACI matrix.
  • Store completed deliverables in a shared repository on time and conduct regular dependency assessments.
  • Assist in preparing project performance status and monthly status reports across all brands.
  • Plan and execute PMO workshops and summits as needed.
  • Support the lead with ad-hoc business projects and processes with global impact.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related scientific field is required.
  • 6-8 years of Pharmaceutical industry experience with at least 3+ years of relevant Project Management experience in manufacturing, new product commercialization, and/or clinical product development.
  • PMP certified or on the path to earning PMP is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Enterprise Project Management tools and Microsoft Project, Smart Sheet, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with timely responses and concise content.
  • Ability to think out of the box and help cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent emotional intelligence and listening skills.
