About the position

The Program Manager will oversee the Lilly Foundation Inc.'s Nurturing Children Through Worship and Prayer Initiative Grant, focusing on the Child of Blessing program. This role is designed to enhance children's involvement in worship and support their spiritual growth within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The position is a full-time, four-year and nine-month contract, with responsibilities including program advocacy, staff supervision, and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support the Child of Blessing program.
• Travel to recruit and communicate with churches and other groups.
• Facilitate the execution of all aspects of the program as outlined in the grant document.
• Supervise and support program and administrative staff.
• Coordinate with the PAM Executive Director and other staff members.
• Develop relationships with seminaries and clergy to extend the program's reach.
• Plan and coordinate a small conference in Year 4 related to nurturing children's faith in worship.
• Explore dissemination opportunities and sustainability for the program in Year 5.

Requirements

• Master's degree or experiential equivalent.
• Proven track record in working with staff and congregations.
• Strong theological background and training in children's growth and development.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and summarize data from diverse sources.
• Experience in soliciting, training, and supporting volunteers.
