About the position

The Program Manager at Fluence will play a crucial role in overseeing product development programs, ensuring they stay on track and within budget. This hybrid position involves collaboration with experienced development engineers and product managers, as well as direct exposure to Executive Leadership. The Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project interdependencies, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders to deliver new products and features to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and monitoring program execution.
  • Project coordination and managing project interdependencies.
  • Creating and managing a budget.
  • Cross-project resource management.
  • Identifying and addressing blockers and risks.
  • Program documentation.
  • Stakeholder communications, negotiations, and problem-solving.
  • Aligning or realigning deliverables with program outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in program or project management, preferably in the energy industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex programs on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of program management methodologies and tools (Agile).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in business presentation preparation and analytics tools expertise (Excel).
  • PMI certification or proven track record of best practices in program management for product development desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Power Conversion Systems (inverters) within the Renewable Energy or EV industries desired.
  • Exposure to Agile and cross knowledge of Jira/Atlassian, NetSuite, Salesforce, MS Project desired.
