The Program Manager (Program Officer Acquisition) position within the Department of Defense is a critical role responsible for overseeing the strategic implementation of acquisition projects. Additionally, the Program Manager will provide training and guidance on MBSE tools and methodologies to enhance project outcomes and improve team proficiency. The position also involves building, integrating, and optimizing complex interoperability systems and services. The Program Manager will lead a team of system engineers responsible for developing the mapping of information exchanges between military standards. This includes performing trade studies to generate and translate conceptual designs into technical specifications, assessing prototype interoperability software solutions, and integrating these solutions into the current architecture. The role is essential for ensuring that the acquisition program aligns with the strategic goals of the Department of Defense and meets the operational needs of military personnel.
