About the position

The Program Manager/Program Specialist at Shadowfax is responsible for overseeing personnel, ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of individuals in the program, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This full-time, salaried position involves supervising, training, and evaluating staff while providing excellent support to individuals with disabilities and/or autism. The role also includes acting as a positive role model and maintaining effective communication with team members and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to staff in department
• Ensure staff provide excellent support to the individuals in our programs, focusing on their health, safety, and welfare
• Responsible for Program Specialist Duties as outlined in 2390 & 2380 regulations
• Ensure agency policies, laws, and regulations are followed within the department
• Maintain ongoing communications with all team members in a positive and professional manner
• Act as a positive role model, exhibiting conduct stated in agency guidelines

Requirements

• Master's Degree or above in Special Education, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or other human service field and 1 year of work experience with persons with disabilities and/or autism
• Bachelor's Degree in the aforementioned fields and 2 years of work experience with persons with disabilities and/or autism
• Associate's Degree or completion of a 2-year program in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of work experience with persons with disabilities and/or autism
• Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of good driving experience
• Basic computer skills
