About the position

As the Program Manager for Psychiatric Urgent Care, you will provide clinical and administrative supervision, program oversight, and leadership to staff serving clients with serious psychiatric and/or substance abuse difficulties. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality standards of care, and developing program-specific policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for budget management, staff training, and maintaining effective communication with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to staff.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of assigned teams.
  • Ensure high quality standards of care and coordination with internal and external supports.
  • Develop and maintain program-specific policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the development and tracking of outcome measures for program effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement an annual budget aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Oversee application of regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and manage grants and grant-provided services.
  • Ensure staff meet direct service expectations and complete documentation timely.
  • Collaborate with internal and external staff to enhance professional relationships.
  • Lead regular staff meetings to promote teamwork and communication.
  • Assess training needs and provide necessary training to staff.

Requirements

  • Relevant Master's Degree with one or two-year internship and at least five (5)+ years' relevant work experience OR relevant PhD plus two (2)+ years' relevant experience.
  • Three (3)+ years' previous supervisory experience required.
  • Licensed PhD or PsyD, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage/Family Therapist (LMFT), or ability to receive license within 6 months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in mental health or substance abuse services.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health care.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
