About the position

The Program Manager for Quality/Patient Safety at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is responsible for managing and executing the system strategy for participation in the US News and World Report rankings. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure accurate data submission, monitor outcomes, and facilitate quality improvement projects throughout the year. The position emphasizes leadership, project management, and the ability to work across departmental lines to enhance patient safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities

  • Review USNWR survey in December and identify new questions.
  • Distribute area-specific surveys to all subspecialties and update each care team with changes pertaining to their survey.
  • Meet with each subspecialty team to ensure accurate data submission.
  • Work with Data Analytics team to validate scores received against submitted data, published methodology and published scores on HDI.
  • Work with Advanced Analytics to predict anticipated score/ranking and update 'What if' tool each year.
  • Work with quality leadership to create action plans for each subspecialty.
  • Monitor all outcomes and facilitate Quality Improvement projects aligned with USNWR improvement.
  • Identify any new outcomes that need to be monitored.
  • Escalate concerns around measures to subspecialty and system leadership.
  • Update data over time and dashboards with data submitted.
  • Maintain single source of truth spreadsheet outlining all data sources for USNWR questions.
  • Coordinate with external communications and marketing to get results to internal stakeholders.
  • Review methodology to identify new scoring.

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in program development and project management.
  • Seven years of experience in healthcare.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact or other current clinical Georgia license.
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
