About the position

The Program Manager for Rebuild Florida at Tallahassee State College is responsible for overseeing the management of training, staff, and fiscal operations related to the Rebuild Florida program. This role involves managing grant deliverables, developing marketing strategies, fostering relationships with local businesses, and ensuring compliance with national and state requirements for educational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the grant staff and deliverables associated with the Rebuild Florida grant.
  • Oversee the development of a comprehensive marketing and outreach plan.
  • Develop local business and employer ties to promote student training completers and their efforts to secure employment.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with area construction industry businesses, requiring local travel for face-to-face meetings.
  • Manage the fiscal operations of Rebuild Florida programs, including budget management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all aspects of the grant, including financial and programmatic reports.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of curriculum in multiple modes outlined in the grant.
  • Ensure programs meet national and state requirements as well as those of local construction providers.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license (operator).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or an appropriate field with five years of relatable experience required.
  • Two years of experience in large project management setting and/or two years of post-secondary teaching in a technical area and grant management preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • OSHA Trainer Certification
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a post-secondary institutional technical program.
