About the position

The Project Manager for SYNERGY at Dartmouth is responsible for overseeing and executing various projects aimed at enhancing the clinical and translational research enterprise across Dartmouth Health, Dartmouth College, and affiliated institutions. This role requires effective management of multiple projects, collaboration with stakeholders, and adherence to project timelines and quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with leadership teams and assist in research initiatives and related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Execute SYNERGY objectives, policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Manage multiple, parallel projects using formal project planning techniques.
  • Ensure projects adhere to deadlines, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Represent SYNERGY in project and strategy meetings.
  • Provide oversight and management of resources allocated to projects.
  • Assist with curation of the SYNERGY website, collaborating with graphic designers and local investigators.
  • Lead the creation, implementation, and maintenance of a biweekly newsletter.
  • Manage SYNERGY's social media accounts.
  • Participate in weekly SYNERGY team meetings, providing updates on ongoing tasks.
  • Regularly report progress and key information to the Senior Project Manager and Administrative Director.
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager with the development and launch of the Dartmouth Journal of Healthcare Delivery Science.
  • Coordinate activities with module and element leaders.
  • Assist in preparing lectures, presentations, and posters for annual meetings.
  • Manage dissemination and implementation project plans for SYNERGY initiatives.
  • Assist in relevant activities for community engagement, workforce development, and pilot programs.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate activities of the Hub Liaison Team.
  • Serve as the second point of contact with colleagues at partnering institutions.
  • Organize and attend weekly Steering Committee meetings, keeping minutes and ensuring follow-up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience (at least 3 supporting an executive or comparable level position) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to review and edit scientific manuscripts preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a university or healthcare setting preferred.
