About the position

The Program Manager for Risk and Capacity Optimization at Amazon is responsible for driving process improvements and data analysis to enhance operational efficiency within Fulfillment Centers (FCs). This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize processes, manage capacity, and ensure timely delivery of customer orders. The position requires strong analytical skills, project management experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake daily FC data analysis and distribute reports to support key strategic decisions and formulate recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Extract, manipulate, assess, maintain data quality and convert data to facilitate and conduct analysis.
  • Build data efficiency and automation to drive FC capacity management analysis, processes, and tools optimization.
  • Collaborate and gather feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • Clearly identify input/output relationships and the impact on operational and supply chain processes.
  • Research, identify, gather, and curate data from multiple sources to provide a more complete picture of outputs.
  • Consolidate knowledge around Risk and Capacity Optimization data, metrics, and reports.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Experience in analyzing data to drive decisions.
  • Experience with Six Sigma/Lean analytical techniques.
