About the position

The Program Manager at UTHealth's School of Public Health is responsible for developing, planning, and managing all activities related to school or unit programs and projects. This leadership role involves overseeing program activities, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring project progress while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all aspects of the program activities, sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors project progress.
• Develops, implements, and manages policies and procedures for the program.
• Informs upper management of key activities and makes periodic progress reports.
• Works closely with internal departments regarding strategy and collaborative opportunities.
• Assists in the preparation of progress reports and grant proposals to private foundations and governmental agencies.
• Interacts with representatives from state, federal, and private agencies regarding proposals and funded projects.
• Creates and edits various communications materials for the department/program, including printed materials and web content.
• Communicates with community and professionals to share objectives and outcomes, and prepares oral presentations at professional meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
• Five (5) years of applicable experience.
