About the position

The Program Manager will support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dam Neck Activity, focusing on SQQ 89 and ASW related mission areas. This role involves managing complex projects from planning through delivery, ensuring effective communication among project members, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders. The Program Manager will oversee project timelines, resources, and budgets, while facilitating meetings and tracking project progress to ensure successful completion of tasks with annual revenues up to $25M.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area with annual revenues up to $25M.
  • Oversee customer site and company site team members in support of the Navy's Surface Sonar ISEA.
  • Collaborate with the GDIT Sonar team and supporting repair, fabrication, and installation teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Communicate schedule and changes to all stakeholders.
  • Plan and facilitate project meetings to align the project team to methods and goals, and to track project tasks.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries.
  • Monitor task completion status to identify at-risk project tasks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Allocate resources, budgets, and hours to the project and adjust allocations when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in management, engineering, computer science, information systems, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Ten (10) years of professional experience in project management including engineering, risk management, financial management, planning and oversight task progress.
  • Five (5) or more years specialized experience in leading personnel through all aspects of project activity.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Dept. of the Navy and/or Dept. of Defense programs.
  • Experience supporting US Navy shipboard and shore-based installation programs.
  • Experience performing cost estimates associated with Level of Effort, scope of work and associated requirements.
  • Experience managing multiple Task Orders/Technical Instructions.
  • Security Clearance Level: SECRET.
