About the position

The Program Manager for Supportive Services is responsible for coordinating the administrative and business operations of various programs aimed at assisting chronically homeless individuals. This role involves overseeing case management, managing client flow, ensuring compliance with program policies, and supervising community support services case managers. The position also includes managing rental assistance resources and reporting on program usage and capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the program/department, including staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
  • Recruit, manage, develop, and evaluate staff by providing timely mentoring, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and protocols for programs serving chronically homeless individuals, including guidelines for enrollment and client transportation.
  • Develop regular program schedule staffing and house meetings, accessing external resources as appropriate.
  • Outreach to treatment programs and community-based resources for client referrals, keeping a detailed log of referrals made.
  • Coordinate staff coverage of crisis intervention and monitor move-ins, move-outs, and repair requests with property management.
  • Interface with SMOC Non-profit housing property management to ensure compliance with program specifications.
  • Review case manager notes regularly to ensure compliance with program specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with program, agency, and funder requirements and policies.
  • Develop Individual Service Plans with participants within three days of entry into the program.
  • Maintain appropriate files and case notes, ensuring accurate program rosters.
  • Outreach to treatment programs and community partners, keeping a detailed log of referrals made.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related human service field required; MSW preferred.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, including intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of databases is necessary.
  • Proven organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior work with homeless populations and substance use required.
