About the position

The Program Manager serves as the Team Leader for OPWDD funded programs, overseeing direct support professionals who work with individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves communication with families, care coordinators, and field staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining documentation for program participants.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee direct support professionals working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Communicate with families, care coordinators, field staff, and administration regularly.
  • Perform assessments of all new program participants.
  • Monitor and track time-sensitive documents such as Life Plans and SAPs.
  • Maintain up-to-date files for program participants in Precision Care and ensure timely documentation in EHR.
  • Ensure compliance with New York State Home and Community-Based Waiver Services regulations and agency policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in education, social work, psychology, vocational rehabilitation, guidance, counseling, or related human services field from an accredited program.
  • At least two years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • One year of leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Home and Community Based waiver programs and DSP Core Competencies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in supervising direct support professionals.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
