About the position

The Program Manager (Territory Manager) position at the Department of the Treasury involves overseeing the planning, directing, and execution of various programs within the Large Business and International Division. This role requires strong managerial skills to ensure that program objectives are met effectively and efficiently, while also managing organizational changes and budget allocations. The position is temporary, not to exceed one year, with the possibility of extension up to four years, and is based in Farmers Branch, TX.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall planning, directing, and execution of a program or several program segments.
• Approve multi-year and longer-range work plans developed by subordinate managers.
• Manage the development of policy changes in response to legislative changes.
• Exercise discretionary authority to approve the allocation and distribution of funds in the organization's budget.
• Revise long-range plans, goals, and objectives for the work directed.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 or GS-14 level in program management or supervisory roles.
• Experience applying management techniques, methods, and principles to optimize personnel and resources.
• Experience planning, directing, and evaluating work of subordinate managers and employees.
• Knowledge of auditing and accounting principles, standards, and practices.
• Experience with federal income tax laws and regulations.
