About the position

The Program Manager- Vendor Management at Pinkerton Consulting & Investigations, Inc. is responsible for the development and operational delivery of a global vendor management program for one of the company's largest clients. This role involves strategic engagement with senior leadership and internal stakeholders, ensuring that program objectives and activities are met effectively. The Program Manager will lead a team of dedicated professionals, fostering strong vendor relationships and optimizing supply chain performance while mitigating risks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the client in developing a clear and effective vendor management strategy.
  • Manage the operational delivery of the vendor management program, ensuring timely delivery of core products and services.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors to align with organizational objectives and quality standards.
  • Establish mechanisms to continuously assess vendor performance and implement improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to manage vendors and supply chains effectively.
  • Mitigate supply-chain/vendor-related risks to enhance resilience.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on supply chain performance to executive leadership.
  • Drive consistent program performance against business metrics and targets.
  • Develop internal policies and standards related to supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of embedded contingent workers.
  • Oversee the contingent worker program, ensuring efficient onboarding and management.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Procurement, and Compliance teams to streamline processes and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor utilization of contingent workers to maximize their contribution to business objectives.
  • Support business optimization initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business operations.
  • Seven years of experience in supply chain or outsourced service management and strategic planning within a corporate environment.
