About the position

The Program Manager for Volunteer and Board Engagement at the University of Colorado Boulder plays a crucial role in developing and executing initiatives that engage volunteers, alumni, and donors for the Leeds School of Business. This position is responsible for fostering relationships with key stakeholders, managing board activities, and enhancing the overall engagement strategy to support the school's mission and reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of donor, volunteer, and alumni engagement programs, meetings, and events.
  • Develop engagement plans for the Leeds Executive Experience to cultivate and steward key donors and prospects.
  • Create and implement a strategic engagement plan for the Leeds Executive Experience and the Leeds Forever Buffs Network program.
  • Serve as staff liaison for the Leeds MBA Advisory Board and manage board activities.
  • Engage graduate alumni with graduate students to meet strategic goals.
  • Manage budgets related to engagement activities.
  • Plan and execute board meetings, including the annual All Boards Summit.
  • Prepare content and materials for board meetings and correspondence with leadership.
  • Supervise and track annual giving of board members.
  • Manage nomination, onboarding, and offboarding processes for board members.
  • Coordinate significant volunteer experiences for board members in alignment with the school's vision.
  • Create and maintain processes for effective data collection and analysis.
  • Meet annual engagement metrics and support the team in achieving goals through impactful programming.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions for current projects.
  • Develop and review marketing and communications materials for events and engagement activities.
  • Manage student support staff for program and event operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of professional, job-related experience.
  • Ability to establish and enhance interpersonal relationships and manage volunteers.
  • Strong communication skills for public representation and event participation.
  • Ability to analyze information and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High degree of tact and discretion in working with diverse constituents.
  • Knowledge of current issues facing public universities and interests of the assigned school.
  • Strong attention to detail and visual appeal in presentation materials.
  • Growth mindset, resilience, and perseverance.
