About the position

Thales is seeking a Program Manager to join its dynamic team focused on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) integration. This role involves overseeing multiple ongoing aviation programs, ensuring project planning, resource management, and customer relationship management. The Program Manager will play a critical role in delivering solutions that enhance aviation operations and will be responsible for managing project financials, coordinating teams, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the customer relationship for the program and lead customer interactions.
  • Prepare and conduct reviews with the customer, including acceptance reviews.
  • Negotiate amendments in the scopes of the contract and handle change requests.
  • Cultivate partnerships with decision-makers across various operational groups.
  • Guarantee the delivery of solutions within deadlines and cost objectives.
  • Set up and manage the baseline of the program, including staffing and budget.
  • Build project schedules and update forecasts regularly.
  • Manage risks and opportunities, including identifying and quantifying risks.
  • Organize the program team and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Manage the financial aspects of projects, including costs and revenue.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined in applicable law.
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in program management, or a Master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of the national airspace system and unmanned aircraft systems.
  • Experience in technical program management, preferably in a related industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of the full life-cycle of product development.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana, MS Project, Confluence, or JIRA.
  • Experience performing risk management activities.
  • PMP certification and an MBA or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and experience with Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulations (DFAR).
  • Experience managing projects in an international context.
  • Working knowledge of French or Spanish.
