About the position

The Program Manager at Umanist Staffing is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of assigned programs within the Gas Turbine Division. This role focuses on ensuring that programs meet cost, schedule, and performance constraints while adhering to the Program Lifecycle Management (PLM) process. The Program Manager will coordinate resources, support marketing proposals, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget, while also addressing any in-service issues that arise.

Responsibilities

  • Direct overall activities of assigned programs throughout their lifecycle.
  • Support marketing new business activities by providing program management sections of proposals.
  • Coordinate with marketing to develop plans and strategies for achieving follow-on business after contract award.
  • Act as the company representative and prime customer contact for all assigned programs.
  • Identify and secure program team members in agreement with Division and Functional Heads.
  • Produce and manage the Program Management Plan, integrating all aspects of the program into a Master Program Schedule.
  • Maintain a risk management system to identify, prioritize, and action risks and issues.
  • Allocate and control funds, preparing reports to monitor actual versus budgeted costs.
  • Monitor program status and performance through review meetings, reports, and presentations.
  • Participate in the resolution of technical and commercial in-service issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in program management and project engineering.
  • Strong background in manufacturing and scheduling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities and projects effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in MS Project and SAP.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Aerospace experience highly preferred.
  • Experience in after-market program management.
