About the position

The Program Manager role at Deloitte's Government and Public Services (GPS) practice focuses on delivering impactful solutions to federal, state, and local government clients, as well as public higher education institutions. Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget by coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively, ensuring alignment and managing expectations.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
  • Resolve project-related issues promptly, leveraging technical knowledge and project management best practices.
  • Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports, highlighting progress, challenges, and next steps to stakeholders.
  • Organize and deliver services on a cross-section of complex projects.
  • Actively participate in development of business and vendor relationships.
  • Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process.
  • Participate in pre-sales, proposal, and RFP initiatives.
  • Manage project(s) financials including development of financial plans.
  • Provide counseling & coaching, oversight, and support for delivery teams and staff.
  • Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities and provide input and guidance into the staffing process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of project/program management or consulting experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance (or higher)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
