About the position

The Program Manager will oversee all phases of programs within the Space program, from inception through completion. This role involves managing planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, as well as executing the program and interacting with customers. The Program Manager will also track spending for complex space system hardware and address any program-related issues that arise.

Responsibilities

• Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion.
• Manage planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Execute program phases and interact with customers.
• Track spending for complex space system hardware.
• Identify program problems and risks, and obtain solutions.
• Monitor and assess performance, instituting corrective actions as required.
• Identify and manage risks associated with assigned programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience.
• 6 years experience with program planning, earned value management, supply chain, risk management, quality control, production control, and product costing tools.
• PMP certified or attainment within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to obtain a clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior working knowledge within the federal or government sector.
• Possession of a security clearance.
