About the position
The Program Manager will oversee and execute projects related to application and system development, enhancements, support, and maintenance within a large Financial Services organization. This role involves aligning project resources, building schedules, providing updates, and assisting the Portfolio Manager with various portfolio-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and execution on projects associated with application/system development, enhancement, support, and maintenance.
- Align project resources including people and hardware.
- Build project schedules and provide weekly updates.
- Block and tackle for scrum teams to ensure project progress.
- Assist the Portfolio Manager with portfolio-related activities such as obtaining project estimates and preparing for system releases.
- Drive complex, high-priority projects using Agile methodology.
- Monitor project progress by tracking activities, resolving problems, and mitigating risks.
- Utilize enterprise tools like Jira, Clarity, and Confluence for project management.
Requirements
- PMP certification is required.
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Experience in financial services, specifically in the card payments industry is preferred.
- Experience with preparing and assisting with major system releases/implementations.
