About the position

The Residential Manager at Parents' Foundation for Transitional Living is a full-time managerial role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential program for adults with serious and persistent mental illness. This position ensures high-quality care for residents and compliance with regulatory standards, while also managing staff and operational aspects of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the organization's residential life and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage the physical plant, including oversight of cleaning and maintenance.
• Hire, train, supervise, and provide leadership for the Residential Assistant team.
• Manage the food program, including ordering food, setting menus, and supervising cooks.
• Complete monthly schedules accurately and in a timely manner, accommodating staff availability.
• Oversee the medication management system as the lead member of the medication management team.
• Participate in on-call duties, providing coverage for nights and weekends as needed.
• Train as a Residential Assistant to ensure competency in the role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a human service-related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a mental health setting.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledgeable about mental health diagnoses.
• CPR Certification (Preferred).
• Valid CT driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in caregiving (1 year preferred).
• Creative and willing to try new ways of helping people achieve their goals.
• Ability to work with some flexibility in scheduling.
