About the position

The Program Manager at Dramatic Education, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the coordination, implementation, and administration of enrichment and academic programs for youth aged 5 to 18. This role involves program development, fiscal management, staff development, and community outreach, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. The Program Manager will also supervise staff, manage program data, and maintain positive relationships with parents and collaborators.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain coordination and administration of enrichment/academic programs for youth ages 5 to 18.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing after school enrichment program.
  • Act as a liaison with staff, parents, collaborators, and school management.
  • Plan and prepare a creative learning environment and establish interest centers.
  • Conduct local community outreach to youth and families.
  • Collect program data and provide reports for contract and grant compliance.
  • Supervise staff and children to ensure a secure environment.
  • Assist students in grades K-8 with daily homework help.
  • Prepare and implement age-appropriate activities for students in grades K-8.
  • Supervise outdoor activities with students in grades K-8.
  • Supervise Site Directors on policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Create and implement lesson plans and complete necessary classroom reports.
  • Attend staff meetings outside of work hours and follow up on action items.
  • Track orders and reports as necessary, and maintain school equipment supplies.
  • Demonstrate ability to improve processes and oversee payroll.
  • Screen and prioritize incoming calls and correspondence.
  • Hire and recruit new staff for the before and afterschool program.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in program management or related field.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members.
  • Experience in developing and implementing educational programs for youth.
  • Knowledge of fiscal management and reporting requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in community outreach and engagement.
  • Familiarity with grant compliance and reporting processes.
  • Background in education or child development.
