About the position

The Program Manager will oversee the development, planning, and evaluation of educational programs focused on Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and Food Safety Practices for Spanish-speaking farmers in the Hudson Valley region. This role involves outreach to new farmers and the creation of program objectives aligned with funder goals, all while ensuring cultural sensitivity and effective communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate educational programs in Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and Food Safety Practices.
• Conduct outreach to new farmers and provide triage support.
• Create program objectives and plans that reflect funder goals.
• Teach educational programming and activities related to the Small Farms Program.
• Work collaboratively with the Agricultural GAPs & New Farmer Educator.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Food Sciences, Education, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related field.
• One year of relevant work experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, Qualtrics, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to work with diverse audiences and maintain cultural sensitivity.
