About the position

The Tech Program Manager for Logistics will oversee cross-functional projects within the Logistics domain, focusing on enhancing operations through established project management methodologies. This role involves managing large-scale logistics programs, including Warehouse Management platform rollouts and transportation projects, ensuring alignment with company and vendor software development lifecycles.

Responsibilities

  • Drive large complex programs using standard lifecycle program management methodologies with Vendor and WSI deliveries per aligned Flight plans.
  • Leverage industry-leading project management tools like JIRA and Rally to manage complex scopes of work, including defining work effort and estimates.
  • Develop effective team execution plans and support team efforts by removing impediments and anticipating issues.
  • Lead discussions with business users and product owners to groom business requirements for Supply Chain and Logistics systems.
  • Manage activities for out-of-the-box configuration versus customized extensions in the WMOS system.
  • Identify and resolve relevant MOD Specifications and design gaps in a timely manner.
  • Manage integration touchpoints between WMOS and upstream systems including Sterling OMS/IMS and Retek Merchandizing System.
  • Manage integration touchpoints between WMOS and downstream 3rd party systems including ProShip and 3PL logistics provider systems.
  • Oversee development and QA of Microservices-based interfaces for integration points.
  • Manage messaging/error logging and performance monitoring mechanisms using AppDynamics.
  • Develop and QA transactional and analytical reports for supply chain and logistics systems using analytics platforms like Snowflake and MS Power BI.
  • Perform financial management of the project, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and ensure quality control delivery.
  • Develop project quality control policies, procedures, and communication plans.
  • Communicate project information to all team members, sponsors, vendors, and Technology managers.
  • Anticipate strategic impacts to projects and coordinate with appropriate parties.
  • Recommend project strategies and articulate complex regulatory and project issues to team members and management.
  • Establish, motivate, and lead high-performance cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in program management within the logistics or supply chain domain.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, particularly JIRA and Rally.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management systems, specifically Manhattan Associates WMOS and IBM Sterling.
  • Ability to manage complex integration touchpoints between various systems.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with AppDynamics for performance monitoring.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like MS Power BI and Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of 3PL logistics provider systems.
