About the position

The Program Manager for Planning and Delivery at Wiley will oversee the Open Access Dashboards initiative within the Research Publishing team. This role focuses on enhancing article publishing platforms, managing stakeholder engagement, and ensuring timely delivery of projects while adhering to budget and quality standards. The Program Manager will utilize Agile and Lean principles to drive efficiency and effectiveness across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Drive delivery with a focus on on-time, on-budget, and in-scope project execution.
  • Maintain and iterate on the delivery roadmap to ensure optimal value delivery and transparency of schedule.
  • Ensure continuous planning cadence for roadmap and program increment planning.
  • Translate prioritized product strategies into visual program roadmaps.
  • Establish relevant dashboards and KPIs for decision-making and project status reporting.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues, prioritize them, and create resolution plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement changes.
  • Train and coach the core team on Agile methodologies and practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program/project management experience in software development within an Agile environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and traditional project management; integration and user interface projects required.
  • Experience with the SAFe framework is advantageous.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across the organization.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically to ensure program success.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Jira; exposure to Aha is valuable.

  • Bachelor's degree in business preferred.
