About the position

UrsaNav is seeking an experienced Project/Program Manager to oversee technical projects for commercial and military/government customers. This role involves working within a small business environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will manage multiple related projects, learn technical concepts in LF RF transmission technology, and utilize their program management skills to lead cross-functional efforts, ensuring project objectives are met within specified timeframes and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, execution, and closing of projects.
• Ensure all project objectives are met within the specified timeframe and budget.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with project stakeholders, including federal agency partners, internal teams, and third-party vendors.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
• Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
• Provide administrative and logistical support to the Director of Programs, including scheduling meetings, coordinating tasks, and tracking project progress.
• Assist in management of security programs.
• Conduct regular program team meetings to review schedule performance, cost performance, BOM status, risk areas, and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare for and participate in program milestone meetings such as PDRs, CDRs, FAIs, and PMRs.
• Plan resource management and delivery schedules to meet company objectives and identify critical path issues.
• Close the project by archiving documents and sharing the project team's experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 5+ years of experience or a Master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 3+ years of experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of project management or PMO experience.
• Demonstrated customer-facing skill set with high-level decision makers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong analytical skills and capabilities with analyzing complex problems.
• Proficient in operating a variety of IT tools including MS Office applications (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and Adobe products.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to motivate others.
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects and work independently.
• Project Management Certification (PMP or DAU Level II Program Manager).

Nice-to-haves

• Military experience a plus.
• Experience operating on projects requiring security clearance and sound security practices (Active Clearance is not required).
• Experience with projects involving technical product development for international customers.
