About the position

Sigma Defense is seeking a contract Program Manager to oversee resources, establish priorities, and manage schedules based on Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements for a government customer in Norfolk, VA. The Program Manager will interface with various government officials and manage contract personnel, ensuring effective operations and support for evolving requirements during the contract period.

Responsibilities

  • Manage resources and establish priorities and schedules based on PWS requirements.
  • Interface with the Government COR, Contracting Officer, and senior military officers.
  • Provide briefs on project progress to stakeholders.
  • Oversee hiring, capability development, discipline, and dismissal of contract personnel.
  • Support the role of FDTPS tasks in various task areas within the contract.
  • Ensure efficient and effective operations in contract support.
  • Administer total program activities and provide principal support for program administration, financials, and reporting.
  • Function as the single point of contact for contractor-to-contractor teaming work arrangements.
  • Manage contract travel and other direct costs.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience as a corporate program manager on a defense contract of similar magnitude and complexity.
  • Experience in determining program objectives, organizing requirements, scheduling projects, and developing standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously with numerous stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing relationships across business and customer organizations throughout the project cycle.
  • Strong planning and management skills for training efforts conducted by multiple functional area teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or 10 years of experience if no degree is held.
  • Active DoD issued Top Secret security clearance or higher, with TS/SCI clearance required.
