About the position

The Program Manager at Plug and Play Tech Center is responsible for managing the acceleration program for startups, which runs for 6-12 months and occurs up to twice a year. This role involves organizing events, building relationships with startups and corporate partners, and supporting business development efforts. The Program Manager will also oversee marketing initiatives and ensure effective communication and engagement with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Run the 6-12 months acceleration program by setting up events and networking sessions.
  • Manage startup relationships and support business development with corporate accounts.
  • Prepare marketing collateral and order promotional materials for the team.
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders within partner organizations.
  • Host events and track corporate participation with attention to detail.
  • Conduct intake and exit interviews with startups to ensure they meet program goals.
  • Grow an ecosystem of mentors and VCs to enhance program value.
  • Organize and execute meetups, mentor sessions, and deal flows.
  • Coordinate venue bookings and develop event content.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external catering services and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute event materials and newsletters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Operations, or Human Resources.
  • 3+ years of experience in operations or customer service, with startup experience highly valued.
  • Project management and process improvement experience are beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated accountability, self-awareness, and a strong work ethic.
  • Passion for and understanding of entrepreneurial communities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills are highly preferred.
  • Military background.
  • Established knowledge and a professional network within the aerospace and defense sectors.
  • Alumni status from Texas A&M University.
  • Experience engaging and educating diverse stakeholders.
